A Powerful Herbal Drink and Steam Treatment

If you’ve been struggling with a long-lasting cold, flu, or feel like your
body is always cold, this natural remedy might be just what you need. I’ve
personally tried it, and it has helped me feel much better, warming up my body
and relieving flu symptoms like cold hands, cold feet, and chills down my
spine 🥹. Here’s how you can make and use this herbal remedy to help your body
recover and expel the cold from within.

Ingredients for This Healing Remedy:

  • 1 grapefruit (peeled, with the rind)
  • 7 stalks of lemongrass (crushed)
  • 1 small ginger root (about the size of a finger)
  • 1 handful of fresh mugwort leaves (Artemisia vulgaris)
  • 4 liters of water

How to Prepare and Use the Remedy:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Peel the grapefruit and set aside the rind. The rind has healing
properties that can help warm the body.
    • Crush the lemongrass stalks gently to release their essential oils.
Lemongrass has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
    • Slice the ginger root into small pieces. Ginger is well-known for its
ability to improve circulation and fight off infections.
    • Rinse the fresh mugwort leaves thoroughly. Mugwort is used traditionally
to relieve cold and flu symptoms, and it helps expel cold from the body.
  2. Clean the Ingredients:
    • Rinse all the ingredients under water, and soak them in salt water, just
like you would clean your vegetables. This helps ensure the ingredients
      are thoroughly clean before use.
  3. Boil the Mixture:
    • Place all the ingredients (grapefruit rind, lemongrass, ginger, and
      mugwort) into a pot.
    • Add 4 liters of water and bring it to a boil.
    • Once the water boils, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-15
minutes so the herbs can release their beneficial properties.
  4. How to Use This Remedy:
    • Drink the Herbal Tea: Pour the mixture into a cup, and
drink a warm serving. Let the tea cool slightly, and sip it slowly,
taking time to enjoy its healing benefits.
    • Steam Treatment: After drinking the tea, use the
remaining liquid for steam therapy. Pour the hot water into a large bowl
or basin and inhale the steam deeply. This will help open up your
      airways and relieve congestion.
    • Body Bath: You can also use the remaining liquid as a
body treatment. Pour the herbal water over your back and lungs to
improve circulation and expel cold from your body. After the bath, don’t
rinse off with regular water; just towel dry yourself.
    • Foot Soak: If there’s any leftover water, use it to
soak your feet. This helps with circulation and warming your body from
      the inside out.
  5. Rest and Recovery:
    • After taking the bath and soaking your feet, get a good rest. The remedy
will help you feel warm and relaxed, allowing your body to recover.
Sleep will help your body detoxify and heal faster.

How Often Should You Do This?

To see the best results, repeat this process 5-7 times to
ensure you’re expelling all the cold and restoring balance to your body. This
remedy helps release the “cold wind” (hàn khí) that might be lingering inside
you, which is why it’s effective for people with long-lasting cold or flu
symptoms.

Additional Tip:

I personally did this remedy 3 times and combined it with sunbathing my back
in the morning for a few minutes. Afterward, I felt much more energized and
the unusual coldness in my body disappeared! The combination of herbs, steam,
and sunlight worked wonders for me.

Conclusion:

If you’ve been struggling with cold, flu, or a persistent feeling of coldness
in your body, this natural remedy can help you feel better. It’s simple to
make, effective, and helps promote overall well-being. Give it a try, and let
us know how it worked for you. Stay warm, and feel better soon! 😍
